Description
You will be using the principles and elements of design alongside making and decorating techniques to expand and hone your skills and knowledge of ceramics. For example you will be looking at using armatures to support building animal and human figures to convey movement.
This course will also cover different areas of ceramic design depending on the depth learners wish to work. This includes: movement, colour, form and space, pattern and texture. Techniques you may cover include armature use, vitreous slips and oxides, templates, making sprigs, stamps and 'rollers', throwing large volumes of clays and altering thrown pieces.
Other areas of study may be added depending on learners' preferences and prior experience.
Entry Requirements - You must have attended at least 2 terms of a ceramics course.
